Τραγωδία στην Νότια Ιταλία.Τουλάχιστον 20 άνθρωποι σκοτώθηκαν και δεκάδες έχουν τραυματιστεί σε μετωπική σύγκρουση τρένων στη νότια Ιταλία.

Οι υπηρεσίες έκτακτης ανάγκης έχουν σπεύσει στο σημείο, προσπαθώντας να απεγκλωβίσουν και να παράσχουν τις πρώτες βοήθειες στους τραυματίες.

Το περιστατικό σημειώθηκε κοντά στην πόλη Μπάρι, μεταξύ των αγροτικών πόλεων Andria και
 Corato. Μέχρι στιγμής δεν έχει γίνει γνωστό πόσοι επέβαιναν στα δύο περιφερειακά τρένα.

Ο Ιταλός πρωθυπουργός Matteo Renzi έκανε λόγο για «στιγμή δακρύων» και δεσμεύτηκε να βρει τα ακριβή αίτια της σφοδρότατης μετωπικής σύγκρουσης. Εξέφρασε τα συλλυπητήριά του στις οικογένειες των θυμάτων από το Μιλάνο όπου πραγματοποιούσε επίσκεψη στο Μουσείο Επιστημών και Τεχνολογίας και δήλωσε πως θα επιστρέψει στη Ρώμη.
